analyses the data stored in the access card and determines
whether the user has authorized entry based on access level,
date and/or time. The reader then stores the information and
records the activity for future reference or reports. This type
of system can monitor individuals’ access, protect employees and
provide full activity reports. Control software is password
protected and allows administrator access to particular
programs, networks or drives.

good read will show as a GREEN LIGHT on the card reader and the
door will automatically release.

the card reader. A misread indicates that not all the
information contained on the magnetic stripe has been read by
the card reader.

LIGHT on the card reader. This indicates that the card is not
authorized for that building or time or day.
